Currently most village exchanges are OFCOM Market 1 -"This exchange has BT Wholesale as the sole provider of broadband services" which means low priced deals are generally unavailable. Thirsk is currently (2011) market 2 -Two or three 'principal' operators (inc BT) provide broadband services at this exchange and Northallerton market 3 - Exchanges where four or more operators provided broadband services.
