Tue  3 Coffee Morning all morning at the Crown and Anchor Sowerby in aid of Disability Action Yorkshire. Unlimited coffee and cake for just £3, plus a chance to have a go on the tombola. £1.50 goes to the charity's services for disabled people across North Yorkshire

Fri 13 - Sat 14 Hillside Music Festival at HRAP Knayton Thirsk North Yorkshire. A family friendly festival, 2 stages with fairground, stalls, bar and good food. See website for details and tickets.

Sun 15 The Blue Cross Fun Dog Show from 11am at Thirsk Farmers Auction Mart YO7 3AB. Admission £1 adults 50p child/concessions. Fun classes include the waggiest tail (or bottom!), the most appealing eyes, fastest biscuit eater. Enter your dog in as many categories as you like for £1 per class. All funds raised on the day will go towards the charity’s Thirsk animal adoption centre.
