Sat 11 Art & Craft Exhibition and sale 11-4 Thornton-le-Moor cricket field. A variety of local artists and craftspeople will be exhibiting (and selling) their work, including paintings, drawings, woodturning, furniture, photography and jewellery.

Fri 17 - 23 The Yorkshire Comedy Festival new Thirsk comedy festival at various venues.

Sat 18 - Sun 19 Operation Dalesman Wensleydale Railway's 1940s weekend. Leeming Bar, Bedale, Finghall and Leyburn will be Allied stations, allowing visitors to see the troops, vehicles and equipment of the British, Commonwealth, American and Free- European forces. Events all day, extended timetable including steam trains.
