until Sat 4 Bells of St Mary's at St Mary's Church Thirsk An exhibition celebrating the 600th anniversary of the casting of one of the eight bells in the tower. Incorporating many different artistic and imaginative interpretations of "bells".

Wed  8 Start of weekly Pilates class 2-3pm Sowerby Methodist Church Hall. The classes are run by a fully qualified Pilates instructor focusing on core stability, spinal mobility, shoulder & pelvic stability, balance and posture. £6 per class payable for a block of lessons.

Thu  9 Shepherds Purse Cheese & Port Evening from 9pm at the Crown and Anchor Sowerby. Free cheese samples & nibbles available We would like feedback of what cheeses you like best. Also port specials only £2 per 50ml serving
